This was taken the day after I got my A7s. I wasn’t comfortable with the camera yet and had mistakenly had the camera set to auto ISO. This was shot at night lit with a single flash with a beauty dish on it. Because it was dark the ISO defaulted to 12800 which I noticed as we were drive home. I thought the shoot was ruined but with a bit of photoshopping and texture layers I got something I’m pretty happy with….even though its shot at 12800 ISO. Really liking this camera
(the model is in a bungee harness. Aircraft cable is running from the harness to the ceiling. these are photoshopped out)

This was taken last night 10/18/2014 at the RISE: Lantern Festival just outside of Las Vegas, NV. This event was amazing! It so beautiful to have 20,000 lanterns filling the sky.

Long time SAR reader Jorge started a new online shop site and I want to help him to promote the site. So here is the official press text. All the best Jorge for your new project!
“We are pleased to announce the launching of CameraPeddler.com. An online market designed for the photographer.
CameraPeddler.com was designed to help bring photographers together in a common online market place. Unlike the big auction sites or other online selling places, CameraPeddler.com offers the ability to focus strictly on photographic equipment from individuals and trustworthy reliable dealers. Furthermore, it is 100% free to post ads. This means you could post your entire inventory without incurring any fees. You only pay for what you sell.
CameraPeddler.com was developed by a well known figure in the photographic industry, his past and current ventures include popular sites such as ZeissImages.com, LeicaImages.com and other photo related sites. He has years of experience with online buying and selling of photographic gear. The intent was to develop a site where buyers and sellers can trust each other and feel comfortable with the transactions they engage in while utilizing the features of the site.
The site is full of features and additional features are currently being worked on.
For starters, the site features an incredibly simple to use search engine which lets you get extremely granular with your search results by letting you build complex queries by simply clicking on links. You can read more about them here: http://ift.tt/1wwlBi5
You can establish Buy and Sell friends and stay up to date on their listings.
Leave feedback as buyer or seller for your transactions.
Control your reputation by removing questionable feedback immediately while the moderators review the reported feedback and decide on its validity.
As a dealer, you can bulk upload ads by uploading a special delimited file. This save you time and gets your inventory online soon. Find out more about bulk uploading here: http://ift.tt/1tmyQUS
Commit to buying an item and holding it for up to 24 hours while you arrange funding if not available immediately. This is called a Pending state of a purchase process. Find out more about Pending here: http://ift.tt/1yxqfhf
Upload images for your ads. Additionally, you can embed images via links in the body of your ad.
Use keyword searches and see the ads matching your keywords while highlighting them in the body.
In addition to the above features, a new member knowledge base will be implemented shortly. This will allow members to build up the online encyclopedia of photographic gear with valuable information for the community to research.
If you are looking to buy or sell photographic equipment, please visit CameraPeddler.com and give us a try you wont be disappointed.

(SR1) Likely fake ILCA-AM1 medium format camera specs list surfaces on web…
An anonymous source sent me the info about a new Sony Medium Format camera named ILCA-AM1. With all the respect for the anonymous source I have a hard time believing those specs are true. Nevertheless this is a rumor site and such “weird” and “unexpected” rumors have to be posted sometimes
The biggest surprise is certainly the fact it has an A-mount! That’s why I don’t trust that spec list. So if you see it on the web be aware …of the risk to take it seriously
