Surprise at Newshsooter: A-mount lenses are much better than E-mount lenses on the FS7!
Sony FS7 E-mount and A-mount with LA-EA4 and Speedbooster lens tests from Dan Chung on Vimeo.
Dan Chung from Newsshooter is reviewing the new E-mount FS7 4K camera. He is not happy with the E-mount lenses for many reasons while A-mount lenses do work much better than expected on the FS/:
What makes Sony’s A-mount lenses different to Canon’s is that the aperture is still controlled from the body (or LA-EA adapter) via a mechanical level. Canon EOS lenses are all electronic and so without power there is no way to adjust iris. This means the A lens aperture can be controlled by a simple ‘dumb’ mechanical adapter in the same way that most Nikon lenses can. This makes them about the most suitable AF lens out there for adaptation to video.

(SR2) Possible E-mount APS-C lens roadmap for 2015!
The following rumor is not coming from my trusted sources so just like the all other low ranked rumors take them with a grain of salt. The interesting part of the rumor is that it’s about the APS-C E-mount lens roadmap. Something that is highly needed! So let me know if that Fake or True roadmap would make you happy or not! The anonymous source said those are the lenses to be released in 2015:
25 f1.4
16-50 f2.8 – 4
50-150 f4-5.6
All those three lenses would be nice to have but I still miss a fast portrait lens. Hope that Sony will do that too! You can also discuss the lens roadmap on our SonyAlphaForum.
One more thing: I have very big SR5 rumors I am working on. Please be patient because I am trying to use my 100% reliable info to get as much as I can from other sources. All I can say know is that very big stuff is coming from Sony in very early 2015. To not miss any of them quickly subscribe our social network:

Boon: “I’ve just posted my comparison of IQ of the JPEG engine between firmware 1.01, 1.02 (previous comparison images) and 1.10 for the A7R. I used the Sony FE 24-70/4 at about 50mm F4 to shoot the images. Other than the faster startup of FW 1.10, I think the image quality has indeed improved, perhaps by at least 1-stop. http://ift.tt/1xkpAzV “
