German company Meyer-Optik-Görlitz puts his logo on the Mitakon lens and charges triple the price!

How can you make money by offering…nothing more than just a different name? Well it appears the Germany company Meyer-Optik-Görlitz just did it. It really looks like they took the Chinese Zy Optics f/0.95 lenses added their logo on it and sells them for triple the price!

Their Nocturnus 35mm f/0.95 E-mount lens is priced at 1.999 Euro and has the exact specs of the 2-3 times cheaper Zy Optics 35mm f/0.95 lens you can find on eBay (Click here).

Their Nocturnus 50mm f/0.95 E-mount lens is priced at 1.999 Euro and has the exact specs of the 2 times cheaper Zy Optics 35mm f/0.95 lens you can find on eBay (Click here).

I hope I am mistaken here and the German company did some kind of “tweaks” or redesign. But so far I believe those are almost exact (or completely exact) copies from the ZY optics lenses

(SR5) New Sony FE 24-240mm will be announced next week on March 4.

Digicameinfo reports that the 24-240mm FE lens will be announced next week on Wednesday March 4. This means preorders are expected to start the very same day. Shipment is expected to start on March 12 in Japan. It’s yet unclear if Sony will also release the pricing info (and accept preorders) on the other three new lenses. Although as I reported before Hong Kong store Shenzen is already accepting preorders on the new FE lenses:
