Sony 50MP Medium Format sensor tests roundup.

The chance is there that Sony will announced a proper new Sony medium format can fixed lens camera this year. And if that happens it will surely use that great new Sony 50MP sensor used by the recently newly announced Phase One, Pentax and Hasselblad cameras. Sony A3500 to be launched in Europe soon…

For now the A3500 was only available in Asia (See Sony Australia). But latest “working pages” on Sony Germany suggest that this camera will be announced soon in Europe too. Nothing exciting I know…I promise to post some more heartbreaking rumors soon

Serious A7s long exposure test shows hot spots (with NR off).

SAR reader Eric Lo shared this A7s long exposure test. It shows the many hot spots you can see if you switch off the Long exposure NR reduction. We don’t know the reason why you have much more of them compared to the A7r. Anyway, the good news is that with Long Exposure NR on things look pretty good.
