New Sony FE roadmap hints more fast primes. Sony says fast portrait lens is coming among them.
The German Journalist Martin Vieten got this updated German March FE lens roadmap. Unlike the English lens roadmap pdf from Photokina the new info is that Sony says that “fast primes” (yes plural!) are coming within 2015. A total of over 20 FE lenses should be available-announced by end of the end of this year. And Martin also share an unofficial info he got directly from Sony. One of the new fast primes should be a portrait lens (around 90mm).
My guess is that most of these primes will be announced by end 2015 but available from early 2016 only. What lens do you hope to get? My wishlist: 24mm f/1.4, 85 f/1.4 and 135mm f/2.0.

Full Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 FE lens review at SLRgear.
SLRgear (Click here) is the first site having published a full detailed review of the new Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 FE lens. They write:
Image quality from the new 35mm ƒ/1.4 lens is very good, with excellent sharpness — though being an ƒ/1.4 optic, there is some softness, especially in the corners, when shot wide-open. Other optical qualities such as CA and distortion control are also very good, and while vignetting is understandable strong at ƒ/1.4, it’s less of an issue at smaller aperture.
Overall, Sony has produced yet another very good lens for the A7-series cameras — a super-solid lens with excellent build quality, a nice feel and great image quality. Sure, it’s significantly larger, heavier and more expensive than the earlier FE 35mm ƒ/2.8 lens, but if you’re a professional or advanced enthusiast photographer in need of a superior low-light lens for the your full-frame Sony mirrorless camera, this is the one to consider.

Walter: “I got an A7s, and I’m a videomaker. I override the 30 minutes time limitation of recordings thanks to InfiniREC. It’s an IR remote control that makes one and only simple thing: press rec and stop and rec again and stop again and rec again… and again… and again… for you. EVERY 29.30 minutes! So, no more forgetting to press rec and just 2-3 seconds of break time between recordings. It’s a small package, patchable to the camera. It’s also customizable (how much often and time between recordings). Since I didnt read about it around and everyone is complaining about this limitation… Here is the solution and I would like to tell you, if you do not know about it.“

Zeiss 16-35mm f/2.8 A-mount lens officially discontinued. Replacement coming soon.
Sony Japan officially marked the current Zeiss 16-35mm A-mount lens as discontinued. This means the new version anticipated at Photokina will be released within the next 1-2 months.
The new 16-35mm and 24-70mm A-mount Zeiss lenses will have following improvements:
– Improved AF speed
– Updated design and weatherproof body
– Image Quality improvement (like ghost reduction)
